Technology-enabled Learning and Skill Development Initiative

India has a shortfall of six million allied health professionals, creating an acute shortage of human resources within the public and private health care delivery system. In line with its objective of health system improvement, FRHS initiated a collaboration with Excelsoft Solutions Pvt. Ltd.; a multinational company with head office in India, with a vision to establish a niche in eLearning in health-service re-skilling

Elearning

Considering its rich experience in training and capacity building in public health, FRHS has created a unique vertical called “Technology-enabled Learning for Skill Development.”

The main objectives of this novel initiative are:

  • Web-based: Make web-based learning available anytime, anywhere for health-care workers/personnel, including nurses.
  • Interactive: Provide interaction/guidance/feedback tools to learners and act as a facilitator between the experts and the students.
  • Certified: Assess and provide certification to learners (on-line/off-line).

Use of eLearning in other professions has shown that the eLearning helps the training seekers, training providers, funding agencies, recruiters and government agencies share a common platform to improve learning efficiency by allowing individuals to learn at their own pace.
